Yep, I'm back home from my last day of work for MYpaper.
I would say that this morning was rather eventful in a couple of ways -.="
Saw Kelvin on my way to Hougang interchange (Seriously, it's so easy to bump into acquaintances at Hougang).
Exchanged a few words with him for a while; he mentioned about his $10/hr pay job at a pub somewhere and simply, 'asked' me to join.
I didn't think he was serious.
Upon reaching TJ Pagar, I took the escalator upwards and was welcomed by what seemed like a hurricane.
The downpour was so immense that the entire precint was virtually semi-flooded, and vision was at it's minimum.
And was it CHILLY.
As I sauntered towards the meeting point, I pondered at how I'll ever manage to distribute the entire stack of papers in such an unfavourable climate.
7:27am.
I was the first to reach, even though I was on the brink of tardiness.
I phoned whatever-her-name-was-I-seriously-don't-know-but-I-have-her-number-anyway and inquired of her whereabouts.
"Ahh! This is some crazy storm! I can't get anywhere at all! Why don't you have your breakfast while waiting for us?"
I began to find a dry seat, took out my PSP(?) and started playing GG on it.
8:10am.
I was getting despondent.
I understand that she alights from the bus at 8:15am everyday, and I knew I wouldn't make it in time at that rate.
My colleagues arrived after some time, but it was 8:36am then.
Feeling reluctant and dejected, I dragged my feet to the next station, glancing around with the futile hope of seeing her somewhere.
As I squatted down to arrange the papers, my colleague started rambling on and on about the rain in between fits of sneezes.
And then she made her appearance.
I almost couldn't believe it.
I looked at my phone - it was 9:30am.
The shit?!
As she darted into the shelter from the rain, I stood stupefied in front of her ravishing countenance.
Waving her mid-length hair to brush off the water, she looked at me with those bambi eyes of hers and smiled a smile so heartwarming that it devoured the chillness in the air.
"Can I have one?"
...I swear that smile was a killer.
Even though she NEVER takes any newspapers from me, I always prompt her anyway as an excuse to interact with her.
I kind of wonder why she actually wants the paper today, though I suppose that's not really the question.
"Uh, yeah sure... Uhh hahaha!"
She giggled in amusement, smiled once more and left.
I stared at the back of her walking into the endless rain, watching her every single second as she gradually faded from my vision.
Back there, I was certain that I didn't feel cold in the slightest bit despite the huge rain.
Standing alone in the shelter all by myself after my colleague had left, I thought to myself.
She's probably going to linger in my mind for a very long while.

MISC!!!
Miscellaneous stuff.
1. Saw this notice on a fruit stall beside Hougang Interchange which reads: "We are now open 24hr!!!"
Now, why would there be a 24-hour fruit stall and more importantly, who the shit'd buy fruits in the middle of the night?
2. You know those road bump thingys that have yellow and black stripes? I was drinking my green tea on the bus this morning when the bus ran over it.
The bump was SO absurdly violent that I LITERALLY sprang off my seat, and green tea spewed forth from the nozzle on my entire face.
The shit...
